As the school year evolves, the time set aside for planning seems to be disappearing. Part of the problem is the different contracts between the secondary and elementary schools. And for those of you who have multi-school cohorts, it is difficult, at best, to schedule yourselves so you are able to work collegiality, which is the main idea behind the cohorts!!

Here are some changes that have been made to assist you in scheduling.

March 5 will be a full day for all JH cohorts to work and plan together at the JH.

If you have group members from other schools, they can request the day from their principal. Depending on what your cohort is doing at that time, there may be jobs and assignments that need the group’s efforts and working as a group is only necessary for a portion of the day or not at all.

The remaining 6.5 hours that you are due is open for each group to request and use as needed. Each group can request their time in smaller increments or a full day. Nicole is respectful of each group’s process and will support coverage. It will be important for each cohort to keep track of this time and record it in the accountability journal.

The scheduling here could actually be to your advantage. The possibility of working together in smaller increments throughout the year is possible and attainable. Please don’t hesitate to ask for what you want.

There will be a meeting held at the Junrior High for all Jr. High Cohorts on March 27th, in
the library at 3:30 with Dr. Erwin. Topic will be Data Support and Training.
